Established in 2051 BS (1995 AD) Om Gyan Mandir (OGM) School has proven to be a trusted institution for academic and overall growth of its students. With the change of time, we are keenly preparing our students for challenges and opportunities that lie ahead into their future.

We have the motto of Learning to Lead. We have this motto because future is going to be even more complicated. Only people with leaderships kills who have the ability to adapt to challenging circumstances, build a shared vision and lead teams can contribute to societies and can excel in their careers. At OGM, we are working to design experiences for students to deal with challenges and work in teams. We also offer students platform to value our rich cultural traditions and at the same time equip our students with contemporary technological skills.

Our leadership team, teaching faculty and entire staff members are committed to materialize the Vision, Mission and Objectives of the school.

OurFacilities

Teaching and Learning

We are guided by Nepal's national curriculum. We, however, seek to bring in features of progressive education to make teaching & learning more relevant, meaningful and practicable to students. Our teachers are trained to design varieties that help make learning journey of students an enriching one at OGM.

Children are taught though a combination of lectures, Group Discussion, Tutorial Presentation, Direct Observation, Lab Works, Continuous Assessment, Homework, simulation (Game and Sports), Problem solving, Quiz Show, Debates, Field Visits and Seminars. The classroom activities are not confined to books alone. Teachers nurture critical thinking of students by encouraging them to work without fear, ask questions, analyze and draw logical conclusion.

Continuous Assessment

Other than formal/ terminal examinations, we follow continuous assessment of students in which various aspects of students are observed and assessed on a regular basis.

Assignment

Students are given regular assignments to revise their learning and get prepared to learn further. Assignments include project work, creative work and practice exercises.

Co-curriculars and Events

As an all-rounder school, students at OGM are given opportunity to explore talents other than narrow academics in areas of sports, arts, music, dance etc. There are also various events and clubs where students learn to collaborate, volunteer, rehearse/ practice and perform.

Transportation

OGM is highly accessible from all part of the Kathmandu Valley by public transportation as it is located hardly 10 meters North from the Lohakilthali bus-stop. On the other hand, the school provides reliable transportation facilities from the different parts of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur.

Hostel and Day Boarders

OGM has Boys and Girls Hostels separately under strict observation with home-like environment and good care by responsible and qualified hostel warden.

Learning Facilities

OGM offers a wide range of facilities to students other than classrooms to support their learning. They include Library, Science Lab, ICT Lab, Sports & Other Facilities:

Library

OGM has a big collection of books of different genre. We have enough reference books for Pre-primary to Secondary level of different writers of Nepal as well as other countries of the world.

Science Lab

We have set up a well facilitated state-of-the-art Science lab for level wise experiments. Here, students learn to experience the material and element other fact and science.

ICT Lab

Information and Computer Technology is an integral part of the modern society. We have managed a well-equipped Digi School ICT Lab. It is a UK-based computer curriculum and e-learning opportunities for students.

Sports and Other Facilities

Our Sports facilities include Futsal, Basketball, Table Tennis, Bad Minton and several other co-curricular facilities.

Audio-Visual

We have an appropriate Audio-Visual lab for students to enhance their learning in multiple subjects and life-skills.
